On August 28, 2025, the English Literature Student Association (HMPS) held a special event called the First Gathering. This event welcomed the new students of 2025 at the Teatrikal Room, P2B, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Many people joined the event, including the Head of the English Literature Program, the HMPS members, and the new students. Everyone was excited and happy to meet each other.

At the event, HMPS introduced itself to the new students. HMPS is a student group that helps students to learn, work together, and have fun. HMPS organizes many activities like studying, social events, and arts. It is a place where students can make friends, develop skills, and be part of a big family.

The gathering had two important parts. First, HMPS told the new students about Makrab 2025. Makrab means “Malam Keakraban.” It is a fun event where students get to know each other better. New students can join the team to help plan and make Makrab a great time.

Secondly, the event introduced Teater Pandora 2025, a student theater group from the English Literature program that carries out project-based learning for the Dramatic Performance course. They invited new students to participate in watching and enlivening.The event was warm and friendly. Everyone shared stories, laughed, and learned together. (ALW/DPF/HFS)
