English Literature Study Program Produces Profile Video for Digital Promotion

The English Literature Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta collaborated with the production team from Pandangan Jogja to create a profile video on Friday, June 12, 2026. The filming took place around the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences (FADIB) and involved lecturers, students, and members of the production team.

The profile video was created as a promotional medium and a way to introduce the academic life of the English Literature Study Program to a wider audience. Various aspects of campus life were featured in the video, including classroom activities, student discussions in the faculty lounge, learning sessions in the computer laboratory, and graduation scenes represented through a toga-wearing session.

To support the production process, the study program conducted a selection and coordination process for students who would participate as talents. Two main talents were chosen to carry the storyline of the video, supported by around fifteen other students who appeared in different academic and campus-life scenes. Their involvement was expected to provide a more authentic representation of student life in the English Literature Study Program.

In addition to filming, the production team paid close attention to visual details, including wardrobe arrangements for the talents. Clothing colors were carefully coordinated to avoid excessive similarities within the same frame and to maintain the overall visual quality of the video.

The production began at 7:00 a.m. with the filming of the main dialogue scenes. The shooting then continued in various indoor and outdoor locations throughout the morning. After a break, the team focused on recording statements from two lecturers and the Head of the Study Program. During these sessions, they shared information about the program’s vision, academic concentrations, achievements, and accomplishments. All information presented had been prepared and reviewed beforehand to ensure its accuracy.

The production concluded with a group photo session featuring graduation gowns and university blazers. Ten talents participated in this final scene, consisting of the two main talents and eight supporting students. The scene symbolized the academic journey of English Literature students, portraying their path from the beginning of their studies to graduation.

The entire production involved close collaboration between the English Literature Study Program and the Pandangan Jogja team. Responsibilities were distributed among various roles, including the director, camera operators, assistant director, talent coordinator, lighting crew, and editor responsible for post-production. Effective coordination and attention to details such as wardrobe and props played an important role in ensuring the quality of the final video.

Through this profile video, the English Literature Study Program hopes to provide information in a more engaging and accessible format for prospective students, partners, and the wider community. The video is also expected to showcase the academic opportunities, skill development programs, and supportive learning environment offered by the English Literature Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
