Yogyakarta – The English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences (FADIB), Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University (UIN) Yogyakarta, has officially appointed a new Secretary of the Study Program. Diah Prima Fajarwati, M.A., was inaugurated as the Secretary of the English Literature Study Program during the inauguration ceremony for Heads and Secretaries of Study Programs within FADIB, held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m..

The inauguration ceremony was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nurdin, M.A., as part of the faculty’s efforts to fill several vacant leadership positions across its study programs. These vacancies arose as some lecturers pursued further studies abroad or assumed new academic and administrative responsibilities.

Within the English Literature Study Program, Diah Prima Fajarwati, M.A., succeeds Dr. Dwi Margo Yuwono, who has recently been appointed as the Head of the Master's Program in Literary and Cultural Studies.

With this appointment, the leadership of the English Literature Study Program now consists of Dr. Ulyati Retno Sari as the Head of the Study Program and Diah Prima Fajarwati, M.A. as the Secretary of the Study Program.

On the same occasion, several other academic leaders were also inaugurated: Dr. Puji Lestari as the Head of the Master's Program in Library and Information Science, Nur Rokhim, M.Hum. as the Secretary of the Islamic History and Civilization Study Program, and Mirza Syauqi Futaqi, M.Hum. as the Secretary of the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program.

The inauguration is expected to further strengthen institutional governance and enhance the quality of academic services within the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences. The collaboration between the Heads and Secretaries of the Study Programs is anticipated to foster more adaptive, innovative, and competitive academic programs while supporting the faculty's vision of internationalization.

The entire academic community of the English Literature Study Program extends its heartfelt congratulations to Diah Prima Fajarwati, M.A. on her appointment.
