In order to socialize the translation work activities carried out by the Assistant Deputy on Documents and Translations of the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 9:00 AM (Western Indonesia Time), the English Literature Study Program, UIN Sunan Kalijaga (SuKa), represented by Ulyati Retno Sari, S.S., M.Hum. as the Head and Dr. Witriani, M.Hum., received a visit from three Functional Translator Officers (PFP), namely Dr. M. Ersan Pamungkas, S.S., M.A., Syarifah Aisyah, S.S., and Alfhatin Pratama, S.Hum.

During this visit, discussions regarding the translation work carried out at the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat became extensive and increasingly much more interesting, particularly in relation to the challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI) and the challenges of intelligence, work motivation, and learning from the current generation z as digital natives.

In addition to the work socialization by the three PFPs and joint discussions, including discussions on the curriculum of the English Literature Study Program at UIN SuKa, which includes the Translation course for two semesters, Dr. M. Ersan Pamungkas provided information about internship opportunities for students as translators at the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat. This was warmly welcomed by the English Literature Study Program. It is hoped that there will be English Literature Program students at UIN SuKa who are interested in registering and being accepted to participate in the internship program.

The visit session concluded with the presentation of souvenirs by the PFPs to the English Literature Study Program, including printed translation works from the Assistant Deputy on Documents and Translations of the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat, which can serve as a reference in translation practice for the students.
