English Literature Program's Cooperation Visit to the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand - On Thursday, March 16, 2023, a team from the English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences (FADIB), UIN Sunan Kalijaga, consisting of Ulyati Retno Sari, M.Hum., Anindya Aji Siwi, M.Pd., Suharyati, S.E., and Sri Lestari, Aks., M.Si., conducted a visit to the Faculty of Liberal Arts (FLARTS), Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus, in Room 211 on the 2nd floor. Thammasat University has two campuses, one in the Rangsit area, approximately 40 km or about 45 minutes by road from downtown Bangkok, and another in the Tha Prachan area, located in the heart of Bangkok on the banks of the Chao Praya River, which is an iconic symbol of the city.
The team was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FLARTS, Asst. Prof. Passapong Sripicharn, Ph.D., along with three lecturers, namely Asst. Prof. Maytawee Holasut, Dr. Ming Panha, and Mr. Anant Utchin, and was accompanied by a staff member from the International Office, Mrs. Orawan.
The activity began with a welcoming speech from the Dean of FLARTS, followed by a video presentation showcasing the profile of FLARTS. The next activity was a presentation by the Head of the English Literature Program, providing an overview of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, FADIB, and the English Literature Program, including information about the faculty, curriculum, and collaborations, as well as highlighting the program's notable activities in drama and film.
After the introductions from each party, the event continued with a discussion on potential collaborations that could be undertaken by both parties, aiming to identify and agree upon future joint activities. (AAS/URS)
