English Department Students Association (HMJ-SI) of State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta organized an event with the theme “Find Art and History in Kraton Yogyakarta”. This event was a visitation to the Kraton Yogyakarta. The purpose of this program was to enrich the knowledge about the importance of Indonesian Culture, especially the Culture of Kraton Yogyakarta. This event also aimed to discover the history of Yogyakarta which held an important role in defending Indonesian independence in the past. This visitation went at the same time with the exhibition of ancient manuscripts which was also the part of 30 years of Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X reign celebration. By this event, the students could gain more information about the history of Kraton Yogyakarta and the ancient manuscripts of Kraton Yogyakarta. This event was held on Saturday (23/03/2018) started from 08.00 until 12.00 Western Indonesian Time. By organizing this event, it was expected that the students would realize the urgency of local culture and history so that the culture will not diminish from time to time.
