Visit and Cooperation Exploration of the English Literature Study Program Team, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, with IPSR of Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand - On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the team from the English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences (FADIB), UIN Sunan Kalijaga (SuKa), consisting of Ulyati Retno Sari, M.Hum., Anindya Aji Siwi, M.Pd., Suharyati, S.E., and Sri Lestari, Aks., M.Si., conducted a visit and benchmarking cooperation exploration with the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, located at 999 Phutthamonthon 4 Road, Phutthamonthon, Nakhon Pathom 73170, Thailand. Mahidol University, Salaya Campus is located 29 km from downtown Bangkok, which takes approximately 45 minutes to reach.
The team was welcomed by the Director of IPSR, Associate Professor Dr. Aree Jampaklay, IPSR lecturer, David D. Peroddin, Ph.D., and staff from the International Office (IO), Mahidol University. The event began with a friendly exchange, followed by presentations about IPSR and Mahidol University by the Director of IPSR, as well as a presentation about FADIB and the English Literature Study Program by the Head of the English Literature Study Program, Ulyati Retno Sari, M.Hum.
The presentation from the Director of IPSR provided information about Mahidol University's campus profile, IPSR's profile, cooperation already conducted by IPSR, IPSR faculty members, financial resources, journals, and other activities carried out by IPSR. Meanwhile, in her presentation, the Head of the English Literature Study Program, UIN SuKa, introduced the profile of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, the Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences, cooperation initiatives, and the implementation of cooperation by FADIB, UIN SuKa in general, and the English Literature Study Program, FADIB, UIN SuKa in particular.
After the presentations, both parties agreed to proceed with the implementation of cooperation, which will be followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding/Agreement (MoU/MoA) in the future.
The activities at Mahidol University concluded with lunch and a campus tour, accompanied by David D. Peroddin, Ph.D., and Mrs. Orawan Peroddin. (AAS/URS)
