Strengthening International Accreditation Preparation, English Literature Study Program Participates in ACQUIN Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Review Workshop at Grand Rohan Hotel Yogyakarta

The English Literature Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has once again reaffirmed its commitment to improving academic quality and standards in preparation for international accreditation. This commitment was demonstrated through its active participation in the ACQUIN Accreditation Workshop organized by the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of UIN Sunan Kalijaga at Grand Rohan Hotel Yogyakarta on Monday, August 24, 2026. The workshop was held intensively from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB).

The main focus of the English Literature Study Program in this workshop was to conduct an in-depth review and revision of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR). This review process aimed to ensure that all content and data presented in the report were relevant and accurate and complied with the standards and format established by the ACQUIN accreditation agency.

During the document refinement session, the English Literature Study Program team received direct technical guidance and feedback from the LPM reviewer, Prof. Dr. H. Suwardi, S.Ag., M.Ag., M.Pd. The involvement of a reviewer from LPM was crucial in providing an objective evaluation and guiding revisions to sections of the document that still required adjustment.

The delegation from the English Literature Study Program was led by the Head of the English Literature Study Program, Dr. Ulyati Retno Sari, S.S., M.Hum., together with the Secretary of the English Literature Study Program, Diah Prima Fajarwati, S.S., M.A. Also accompanying the team was Dr. Dwi Margo Yuwono, M.Hum., Head of the Master’s Program in Literary and Cultural Studies, who previously served as Secretary of the English Literature Study Program for the 2024–2026 period. His participation also aimed to provide guidance and oversee the transition in the preparation of the documents together with the current Secretary of the English Literature Study Program.

In addition to the program leadership, the team was also assisted by three English Literature students, Dian Nurma Istikhomah, Muhamad Farhan, and Putra Ramadhan, who actively contributed to facilitating the verification process and preparation of the required documents.

The accreditation workshop was not attended solely by the English Literature Study Program but also involved several other study programs at UIN Sunan Kalijaga that are currently preparing for international accreditation, including Library Science, Sharia Economic Law, Psychology, and Arabic Language and Literature. This cross-program collaboration created a productive space for discussion and helped align the participants’ understanding of global quality standards.

Through the review and improvement of the SAR document, the English Literature Study Program hopes to complete all preparations for ACQUIN accreditation optimally and on schedule, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of educational quality and strengthening the program’s competitiveness and recognition at the international level.
